Science and CIE Block
‘INSPIRING INQUIRY, ENABLING INNOVATION’
Science and CIE Block
The Science and CIE Block houses the Science Laboratories and classrooms, and is also where the IGCSE curriculum is delivered.
Overview
The Science curriculum is supported by hands-on practical training in nine Science laboratories and a Robotics Lab, all housed in the Science Block. Practical lessons begin from Class VI onwards, allowing students to become familiar with the experimental world at an early stage.
Common features across labs:
- Workstations for students
- Smart-boards for instructions
- A dedicated desk area for the teacher to deliver practical lessons
- Trained support staff for lab maintenance
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Departments each have their own prep-rooms, well-stocked with materials and resources for hands-on training.
Physics Labs
Workstations equipped with in-built power supply, Galvanometer, Ammeter, Voltmeter, Multi-meter, and Battery Eliminator
Chemistry LabS
Workstations equipped with Fire extinguishers, Fume cupboards, and readily available first-aid equipment
Biology Labs
Spacious workstations for exploring the natural world where students learn to prepare slides for microscopic examination from Class VI onwards
Robotics Lab
Individual stations for research, experimentation, and developing innovative projects/robots
Equipment:
