Overview

  • Every student at Mayoor visits the Art School at least twice a week for formal instruction
  • Senior students can offer Painting and Sculpture as optional subjects
  • The School offers courses in Applied and Commercial Art
  • Regular workshops are organized, with artists and artisans from across the country sharing their knowledge and expertise with students

Popular activities in the Craft Section include:

Sculpture Section

Several remarkable student-created structures stand testimony to this initiative:

  • ‘Marudhar Ro Roonkh’ (The Desert Man) : Carved from an aged eucalyptus root; inaugurated by HH Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji
  • Vatsalya‘ : An imposing 11-foot-tall, 20-tonne monolithic granite sculpture symbolizing Mayoor as an embodiment of nurturing, motherly love; inaugurated by Shri Ajay Sinh Jadeja.

Campus Art Installations

In addition to these landmark sculptures, the campus features:

  • A thoughtfully designed Topiary, reflecting nature’s harmony with human life
